Strong Storms Move Through Gilmer

At approximately 2:00 p.m. today a very strong and fast moving line of thunderstorms moved quickly through Gilmer County. The storm was responsible for trees down, power & cable t.v. outage (mine!) and possibly contributing to at least one "fender bender" at the Highlands Shopping Center in East Ellijay.

At least one tree was blown down across Hwy 52 just East of Hwy 515. A lot of debris was evident along the path of the storm which moved quickly south towards Pickens and Cherokee Counties.
